Maati Se Cultural Connect

Our initiative endeavors to preserve and propagate not just elements of nature unique to this geog-raphy but also the cultural practices that form a part of the story of this land. The farm grounds are home to a centuries old sacred groove where people belonging to the Korku tribe gather from farm and near places to worship theirbdeity and offer prayers. At a walkable distance, on the Vindhyan spur, lies an ancient sacred place of worship called the Maata Mandir. Carved out of rock shelter, the Mandir also depicts some 10,000 years old rock art. Maati Se farm and surrounding landscape is steeped in many cultural practices and interesting an-ecdotes as it is home to 4 ancient tribal groups including Korkus, Barelas, Gonds and Bhils.
